The King’s Community Church and TKS

Brief History

The beautiful property (formerly named Springcrest) on which The King’s Community Church and The King’s School operate was generously donated by Langley residents, Peter Ratzlaf and family, in a gesture rooted in the “Jesus Movement” of the 1970s. The ultimate beneficiary of this gift was West Coast Christian Fellowship (WCCF)—an East Vancouver Church with six satellite fellowships in the lower mainland. In a move made to primarily provide Christ-centred education to the many children in its fellowships, WCCF started The King’s School in September 1982.

In the mid-1990s, The King’s Community Church, which started as one of the WCCF satellite fellowships, sold its recently constructed church building on 64th Avenue to fully acquire The King’s School and Springcrest property. The King’s Community Church wasted no time in constructing a dual-purpose building to function as its worship centre and school gym.

Today’s Ministry

The King’s Community Church is pleased to offer its property and facilities as a Christian education centre for families and their children throughout the Fraser Valley. Parents from more than 20 local churches arrive on the property five days per week, united in mission and vision for their children.
