We all love the change of routine that comes with a holiday such as spring break: a slow start to the morning, free time to just do things without being on a schedule, or taking a walk. To add to that list, here are some “un-reading” activities librarian Mrs. Beard suggests you try with your children over the break or even after!
Read the instructions to making a craft or building a birdhouse.
Follow a recipe to bake a treat or make a simple dinner.
Learn a new skill, such as crochet or macramé, by reading a how-to book together.
Follow the instructions to a new board game.
Write and send a card, letter or email to Grandma and Grandpa.
